The Yale Institute for Global Health (YIGH) is thrilled to announce the launch of its first-ever Global Health Symposium, taking place on April 5th, 2024. The symposium will take place at Winslow Auditorium on the campus of the Yale School of Public Health at 60 College Street. This event brings together Yale faculty, students, trainees and administrators to learn about various opportunities for engagement in global health.
During the symposium, attendees will be able to explore fellowship opportunities, seed grants and faculty networks. They will also gain a deeper understanding of how to navigate Yale’s policies to support global health programs. The keynote address by Professor Madhukar Pai, MD, Ph.D., FRSC, Inaugural Chair, Department of Global and Public Health at McGill School of Population and Global Health at McGill University promises to be an enlightening experience. Professor Pai’s address is titled “Building Equity in Global Health: The Role for Global North Actors”, providing valuable insights and inspiration for all attendees.
