Celta Vigo striker Jorgen Strand Larsen is close to finalizing his loan signing with Wolves. The Norwegian striker, who is 24 years old, will undergo a medical examination on Monday before completing the move for an initial loan fee of 3m euros (£2.5m). Wolves have the option to make the signing permanent for 27m euros (£23m) next summer.
Larsen has had an impressive season last year, scoring a total of 16 goals for both club and country. This includes 13 goals in the league while playing for Celta Vigo in La Liga, where the team finished 14th. He began his career at Sarpsborg in his home country before making a move to Dutch club Groningen. During his time at Groningen, Larsen scored 24 goals in 67 appearances before being transferred to Celta Vigo for a reported fee of 11m euros (£9.3m) in 2022. He has since scored 18 goals in 74 games for the Spanish club.
Wolves have also signed winger Rodrigo Gomes from Braga on a five-year deal and teenage right-back Pedro Lima is set to join the team from Brazilian side Sport Recife on July 1st. These signings are part of Wolves’ efforts to strengthen their squad ahead of the upcoming season.
