Whirlpool Foundation Empowers Girls to Explore STEM at the Annual Girls Rock IT Event

Whirlpool Foundation Pleased to Support Girls Rock IT STEM Event

Whirlpool Corporation has announced its continued support of the Michigan Council of Women in Technology Foundation (MCWT) STEM event, Girls Rock IT. During this event, girls from grades 2-8 explored the worlds of coding and app development. Elementary students learned about coding with Scratch while middle school students had the opportunity to build their own apps using MIT App Inventor. Parents and guardians were also encouraged to participate in a session on Internet Safety and Careers in Technology.
