Wayne Rooney Welcomes Back Midfield Talent Gyabi and New Forward Tijani for Plymouth Argyle’s EFL League Two Campaign

Plymouth Argyle have secured season-long loan deals for midfielder Darko Gyabi and forward Muhamed Tijani. Tijani, 23, comes from Slavia Prague in Czech Republic and there is a possibility of a permanent transfer after the loan period ends. Gyabi, 20, is returning for a second loan spell at the club after initially joining from Leeds United in January of this year.

Newly appointed Plymouth boss Wayne Rooney expressed his excitement at welcoming both players to the team. Regarding Gyabi, Rooney mentioned that he had received positive feedback from his previous stint with Argyle and was keen to bring him back due to his attributes as a midfielder. He believes that Gyabi fits well with the style of play he is looking to implement, highlighting his ball skills, power, and athleticism.

In the case of Tijani, Rooney explained that the forward’s addition further strengthens the team’s attacking options. Tijani’s qualities include his size, athleticism, ability to run behind defenders, and hold-up play. Rooney noted Tijani’s experience in the Europa League and his eagerness to improve at a young age. The coaching staff is looking forward to working with him to enhance the team’s offensive capabilities.

Gyabi had made 10 appearances for Argyle last season before a groin injury sidelined him in March, forcing him to return to Leeds for the remainder of the campaign. However, he was impressed by what he saw during his time with Plymouth and expressed interest in making a permanent move back to Devon once his loan spell ends
