Violent Stabbing at Buffalo Psychiatric Center: 3 Staff Members Injured as Office of Mental Health Offers Assistance with Investigation

On Wednesday morning, a stabbing took place at the Buffalo Psychiatric Center campus in north Buffalo. According to officials from the New York State’s Office of Mental Health, three staff members were injured by a patient during the incident. The Office of Mental Health is actively assisting the Buffalo Police Department in their investigation into the matter, with their top priority being the safety of both their staff and the individuals they serve.

The stabbing occurred inside the Strozzi Building around 9 a.m., according to local news outlet WIVB-TV. Two men and a woman were transported to the hospital by ambulance following the incident. One of the staff members is believed to be seriously injured, while the suspect was taken into police custody. The suspect has not been identified at this time.

In other news, ClearForce is using AI technology to identify veterans who may need mental health support, allowing support groups to reach out to them proactively. This initiative aims to provide much-needed assistance to veterans struggling with mental health issues.
