Vietnam Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh made a visit to Samsung’s semiconductor complex in Gyeonggi province during his official trip to South Korea. Accompanied by Samsung Vice Chairman and CEO Young Hyun Jun, the Prime Minister was shown semiconductor product models and expressed admiration for Samsung’s achievements in high technology and semiconductors.
During his visit, the Prime Minister discussed Vietnam’s priority in promoting the semiconductor and AI industries. He welcomed businesses to invest in these fields and pledged the government’s commitment to creating favorable conditions for corporations to continue their business activities in the country. The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of semiconductor technology in the global economy and the 4th industrial revolution, expressing confidence in Samsung’s successful and sustainable investment in Vietnam.
In addition to visiting Samsung, the Prime Minister also met with a Vietnamese-Korean multicultural family in Osan city, Gyeonggi province. He highlighted the historical relationship between the Vietnamese and Korean peoples and commended Vietnamese-Korean families for fostering good relations between the two countries. The Prime Minister encouraged multicultural families to continue building a beautiful life, comply with local laws, and contribute to promoting the image of both Vietnam and Korea.
After visiting Samsung and the multicultural family, Pham Minh Chinh concluded his official visit to Korea and returned home with his wife and senior Vietnamese leaders. The visit strengthened economic ties between Vietnam and Korea while promoting cultural exchanges between the two nations.
