USTA becomes the first national governing body to partner with White House Sports and Nutrition Committee

USTA Partners with President’s Council on Sports, Fitness, and Nutrition to Improve Health and Wellness in Tennis Communities

The President’s Council on Sports, Fitness, and Nutrition (PCSFN) has partnered with the United States Tennis Association (USTA), making it the first national sports governing body to do so. This collaboration was unveiled during an event attended by guests from the White House, including second gentleman Douglas Emhoff. The PCSFN, established in 1956, is a federal advisory committee focused on promoting nutrition and physical activity.

Through this partnership, the PCSFN and USTA aim to bring national health and nutrition programs to communities where tennis is played. By working together, they hope to make a significant difference in improving health and wellness across the country. This partnership reflects a shared commitment to advancing nutrition, physical activity, and overall well-being in communities where sports like tennis are enjoyed.

During the event, Emhoff emphasized the impact of this collaboration on real lives. He recognized the USTA’s dedication to this important work and expressed gratitude for their efforts. He highlighted the administration’s commitment to addressing issues like hunger and promoting healthy communities.

The USTA and PCSFN believe that by bringing national health and nutrition programs to communities where tennis is played, they can make a meaningful impact on people’s lives. They are confident that with the support of organizations like the USTA and leaders like those in the Biden-Harris Administration, progress can continue to be made in promoting healthier lifestyles for Americans.
