The Museum of Discovery and Science in downtown Fort Lauderdale has opened a new immersive space, the MAGNA-TILES Studio, that allows children to explore and create while combining play with learning. This first-of-its-kind studio offers limitless possibilities for young visitors to let their imaginations run wild.
Joe Cox, president and CEO of the museum, expressed his excitement about the new addition. He said that children can use MAGNA-TILES to create amazing things like space engines and submarines for unicorns while learning about magnetism, light, and color. The studio features five creation stations filled with magnet-building activities aimed at enhancing kids’ skills in art, science, technology, engineering, and math.
The MAGNA-TILES Studio provides a unique opportunity for kids to engage in hands-on learning activities in a fun and interactive environment. It’s designed to foster creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. With the opening of this new space, the Museum of Discovery and Science continues to provide innovative educational experiences for children in the Fort Lauderdale area.
