United Way Benefits from Thrilling Evening of Racing at Fun Fundraiser” – News, Sports, Jobs
Looking for the perfect hat to wear to the races? The fashionistas suggest keeping your head held high with a stylish finishing touch to your outfit. Colette Hartzler, executive director of the United Way of Mifflin-Juniata, agrees that fancier is always better when it comes to headwear at the upcoming Night at the Races on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at the Moose Family Center in Lewistown.
Hartzler and her assistant, Kenda Haas, attended last year’s event at the Lewistown Country Club and were impressed by the fun and excitement of video horse racing. They hope this year’s event will be just as enjoyable for guests.
A Night at the Races features a Kentucky Derby hat contest, Just Ducky elimination game, live auction race and 50/50 raffle. Hartzler hopes that guests will be cheering for their horse as they experience all the thrills of a night at the races.
Tickets cost $40 per person or $75 per table and include a horse, food and one drink. A cash bar is also available. Hartzler suggests sponsoring a table with friends for an even more engaging experience.
