After the 2024 NBA Draft, former Virginia Cavaliers guard Reece Beekman reached an agreement on a two-way contract with the Golden State Warriors. The 22-year-old averaged 9.5 points and 5.0 assists in 32.7 minutes per game during his four seasons at Virginia, starting in all but one of his games. Despite being an undrafted player, Beekman’s scoring abilities and defensive prowess have earned him recognition as a three-time ACC All-Defensive team selection and a two-time ACC Defensive Player of the Year Award winner.
Beekman’s impressive defensive ratings over the past three years will now give him the opportunity to prove himself with the Warriors on a two-way contract. The Warriors can have up to three players signed to two-way contracts, which allows them to play up to 50 games during the season. This deal provides Beekman with a chance to showcase his skills and earn a spot as a solid player in the NBA after going undrafted.
