UAE Company Registrations Surge in 2024, With Limited Liability Companies Seeing Significant Growth

In the first half of 2024, the number of active licenses for companies in the United Arab Emirates increased by 12%, reaching a total of 896 thousand companies. This was an increase from about 800 thousand at the end of 2023. Limited liability companies saw a significant growth of 7.6%, with a total of 269,100 licenses, while sole proprietorships experienced a smaller increase of 3% to reach 234,060 active licenses. One-person companies also experienced a substantial growth of 21%, with a total of 120,326 companies.

In addition to these types of companies, local company branches and private joint-stock companies also saw increases in the number of licenses. Meanwhile, free zone establishments reached a total of 3,455 licenses, while local establishments’ branches reached 2,318. Professional business companies and branches of foreign companies also experienced an increase in the number of licenses.

Furthermore, various service providers are being highlighted for their innovative offerings and high-quality services in different industries. These include senior care providers offering proper home maintenance and stress reduction methods for memory care; concrete contractors providing creative activities for memory care; biohack devices focused on improving health and wellness; messaging platforms that allow people to connect with each other easily; and businesses in industries such as roofing, pet grooming, content marketing, and technology that are showcasing their expertise and commitment to serving their customers.
