Brooks Lee Gets the Call: Twins Promote Top Switch-Hitting Prospect for MLB Debut After Royce Lewis Lands on IL

Triple-A Prodigy Brooks Lee Joins Minnesota Twins for Major League Debut

The Minnesota Twins have announced the exciting news of bringing up infield prospect Brooks Lee to join their major league team for his debut. This move comes after an injury to Royce Lewis, who was placed on the injured list due to left groin tightness. Lee, who was the eighth overall pick in the 2022 draft, missed the beginning of the season due to a back injury but has been making up for lost time since his return.

In his 20 games at the Triple-A level, Lee has been impressive with a .329/.394/.635 batting line, including seven home runs and excellent plate discipline. With experience at various infield positions, Lee is expected to settle in at third or second base in the long run. CBS Sports recently named him as the top prospect most likely to debut in the majors, following another prospect’s promotion. Despite a crowded roster, Lee’s talent and versatility make him a strong contender for a spot on the Twins’ big-league lineup.

The team, currently six games behind in the American League Central with a 48-37 record, is set to continue their series against the Detroit Tigers with Lee in their ranks. This addition will give them more depth and flexibility in their lineup as they look to climb back into playoff contention.
