On Sunday, Cruise announced that Kyle Vogt, its founder and CEO, had resigned from the company. This news came on the same day that Rosalynn Carter, the former first lady of the United States and political partner of her husband Jimmy Carter, passed away at the age of 96.

Meanwhile, Warner Bros Discovery and Sony have joined other prominent brands in halting their spending on X, the social media service formerly known as Twitter. This move comes as backlash continues over Elon Musk’s endorsement of an antisemitic conspiracy theory on X.

Talks at OpenAI to bring back Sam Altman, the artificial intelligence start-up’s recently ousted chief executive, continued but there were disagreements over the makeup of the company’s board of directors. It remains to be seen whether Altman will ultimately return to lead OpenAI or if a new CEO will be appointed.
