Tinder introduces new feature to share date plans with friends and family

In response to the growing trend of young people under 30 sharing aspects of their dates with friends, Tinder, the popular dating app, is introducing a new feature called “Share My Date.” This feature allows users to easily share details about their date plans with loved ones, including location, date, time, and a photo.

Melissa Hobley, Tinder’s Chief Marketing Officer, emphasized that the purpose of “Share My Date” was to enhance the overall dating experience by making it more fun, safe and respectful for all users. This feature streamlines the process of sharing date plans, allowing users to focus on the exciting parts of getting ready for a date.

According to an internal survey conducted by Tinder, 18% of its users even share their date information with their mothers. With this new feature in place, users can easily schedule an unlimited number of dates up to 30 days in advance and update details if there are any last-minute changes.

The feature will be rolled out in various countries around the world in coming months. These include the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, Singapore and India among others.
