Ticky, the Spider Monkey Sensation of The Bronx: An Adventure into Adoption, Childhood Dreams and Viral Fame

Ticky, a spider monkey who is three years old and has become quite the sensation in The Bronx, is quite the character. She loves to be wherever the action is and has even shown up wearing a diaper while playing around her owner’s tow truck. Her owner, known as “Junior,” takes her with him as he works for his Bronx towing company, CBC Automotive.

Junior admits that having Ticky with him is a childhood dream come true. He’s been wanting a spider monkey since he was young, and it took him three years to finally get one. Since then, Ticky has become his loyal companion and they have become quite popular among those who see them. A video of Ticky bouncing in and out of Junior’s truck window went viral recently, causing a surge in interest about their duo.

The sudden fame that Ticky has garnered has been both exciting and overwhelming for her and Junior. With more people wanting to take pictures and videos of Ticky, Junior finds himself fielding more calls and requests than he anticipated. The video of Ticky having a blast on Junior’s truck bed showcases her playful and clingy nature.

Junior shared that Ticky is a snow-birding primate who divides her time between New York City and Florida. In New York City, monkeys are not allowed to be kept as pets so she spends most of her time in Florida where she can legally be kept as a pet with proper permits. Despite the restrictions, they continue to enjoy their time in The Bronx where they have become local celebrities due to Ticky’s playful antics and charming personality.
