Thomas College Students Shine at SAM International Business Conference, Securing Top Rankings and Recognition

Recently, five students from Thomas College competed in the Society for the Advancement of Management (SAM) International Business Conference in Orlando, Florida. The team included Dan Brewer, Tanner Herrick, Jade Crowell, Preston Moody and Addison Landon.

The students faced tough challenges in various categories such as written case study, case study presentation, knowledge bowl, extemporaneous speech and business pitch. Despite the intense competition with a record number of colleges submitting student teams to the conference, the Thomas College team excelled and achieved top rankings.

Preston Moody, Jade Crowell and Addison Landon advanced to the finals of the knowledge bowl and Landon finished in second place. Furthermore, Landon was recognized as the top individual student performer at the conference. The team placed second overall and third in the case study presentation.

Thomas College professors Dr. Rick Saucier and Dr. Jono Anzalone coached the students throughout their journey. Saucier mentioned that representatives from SAM praised the exceptional performance of Thomas College students at this year’s competition. This success has brought recognition to Thomas College in business management academic circles as they continue to achieve success year after year in competitions like these.
