A flamethrowing robot dog named Thermonator, created by Throwflame, is now available for purchase in the United States. Manufactured by the oldest flamethrower manufacturer in the country, Thermonator is a quadruped robot that can launch fire up to nine meters away with its plasma arc ignition. The device has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity for remote control via a smartphone and is designed for agricultural management, ecological conservation, forest fire control and prevention, as well as snow and ice removal. Despite its intended purposes, the device is versatile and has been showcased in a recent video set to music. Thermonator will be available for sale by the end of the year and has generated significant interest online.
