The Memphis Area High School Spring Sports Showcase: The Most Impressive Performances of Week 4

The Memphis area high school spring sports continued to showcase impressive performances in Week 4 of the 2024 season. In baseball, CBHS emerged victorious over Houston with an 11-1 scoreline, thanks to Riley Goodman’s eight strikeouts in three innings as the winning pitcher. Hank Stalnaker had a standout game with two RBIs and two stolen bases, while Holden Robinson and Will Brick also contributed with two RBIs each. FACS claimed victory over Lausanne with a final score of 12-6, thanks to Kayden Hartunian’s impressive performance as the winning pitcher.

In softball, Brighton dominated Collierville with a final score of 12-0, thanks in part to Aliya Garcia’s impressive batting stats, going 3-for-3 with two RBIs and three runs scored. Houston took down Bartlett in a closely contested matchup, winning 11-10. Maci Frederick had a standout game with two RBIs and three runs scored, while Ella McKnight also contributed with two hits and two runs scored. St. Benedict emerged victorious over Munford in a shutout game, with Jorja Wheeler pitching a complete game, allowing three hits and striking out 11. Izzy Henderson and Charlee Smith both had two hits each for the team. Arlington defeated Southwind in another shutout game, with Brooklynn Knight as the winning pitcher.

In boys soccer, Northpoint continued their dominance over Brighton by winning 6-0 in their latest matchup. Miller Lashlee was instrumental in their win by scoring five goals and providing an assist, while Eli Bailey provided three assists for the team. In girls lacrosse, ECS came out on top against St. George’s in an exciting game that ended with a final score of 10-8. Sarah Grace Clinton was the star player for ECS, scoring six goals and providing three assists for her team
