The Sacramento Kings are reportedly interested in making a major trade, with one potential target being New Orleans Pelicans forward Brandon Ingram. Michael Scotto of HoopsHype reported on Sunday that the Kings have shown “exploratory interest” in making a deal for Ingram. However, discussions between the Kings and Pelicans have not yet escalated.
The Philadelphia 76ers and the Golden State Warriors are also said to be interested in Ingram. As the 2024 NBA Draft approaches, it remains to be seen which team will ultimately land the talented forward.
During this year’s draft, the Kings offered a trade package that included players like Kevin Huerter and Harrison Barnes, as well as picks. While they did not acquire any new players with their No. 13 overall selection, General Manager Monte McNair was pleased with Devin Carter’s performance last season and believes that he will be an important part of the team’s future plans.
Looking ahead to future drafts, the Kings still have their first-round picks starting in 2026. With a strong young core led by De’Anthony Melton and Tyreek Walker, adding another talented player like Ingram could provide a significant boost to their lineup.
