The Future of Sports and Entertainment: Las Vegas’ UNLV Sports Innovation and Entertainment Conference
Las Vegas, known for its world-class entertainment and major sporting events, is set to host a conference that will combine these two aspects with innovation. The UNLV Sports Innovation and Entertainment Conference, also known as SEI Con, will take place from July 15th to the 17th in the city.
Jay Vickers, the COO of the UNLV Sports Innovation Institute, highlighted the city’s intellectual capital in sports, entertainment, and civic leadership. He noted that Las Vegas has become a hub for innovation in the sports industry over the past decade.
The conference aims to showcase the intersection of sports, entertainment, and innovation that Las Vegas is renowned for. It will feature speakers and thought leaders in the industry, providing valuable educational experiences for UNLV students involved in organizing it. Syracuse University has also partnered with UNLV to participate in this event.
Following its inaugural run, vertical events are planned for cities like New York, Washington, and London. However, Las Vegas will remain the main hub for this annual conference each summer, allowing it to enhance its brand and further grow its position as a global hub for sports innovation.
