Children gain a wealth of knowledge at Dog Science Camp

The Edgerton Explorit Center Hosts 12th Annual Mars Petcare Dog Science Camp: Creating Unforgettable Memories and Valuable Lessons for Campers and Their Furry Friends.

Last week, campers at the Mars Petcare Dog Science Camp had a ‘paws-itive’ time learning about dogs and getting up close and personal with “man’s best friend.” This is the 12th year the Edgerton Explorit Center has hosted the camp as part of its series of summer programs for the youth of the area. The camp allows campers like eighth grader Justin Brainard to meet and interact with dogs in a fun and educational setting.

The highlight of the camp was the closing dog show where campers and their dogs showcased their skills and tricks they learned throughout the week. One camper, Asher Heiss, had a blast jumping through a hoop with his furry companion, Leo, during the closing dog show. The camp provided a unique opportunity for campers to bond with their dogs and learn more about these beloved animals.

Campers participated in activities such as an obstacle course where they guided their furry companions through hoops and tunnels. They also learned about dog behavior, grooming, training, and nutrition. The hands-on environment allowed them to learn together with their dogs and create lasting memories.

Overall, the Mars Petcare Dog Science Camp was a fun and educational experience for campers and their dogs. It continues to be a popular summer program at the Edgerton Explorit Center, providing valuable lessons and experiences for all who attend.
