Los Angeles Clippers’ draft pick Cam Christie reunites with brother in L.A. – with a twist

The Christie Brothers Join the NBA’s Growing Family of Sibling Pairings: The Clippers Select Cam Christie in the Second Round of the 2023 Draft

The Los Angeles Clippers have selected Cam Christie as the 46th pick in the NBA Draft, adding another sibling to the family of NBA players. This follows his older brother, Max Christie, who was drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers two years ago with the 35th pick in the 2022 draft.

The Christie brothers join a list of NBA siblings currently playing together, including Cody and Jalen Williams, Lonzo and LaMelo Ball, and Jrue, Justin, and Aaron Holiday. This familial connection adds an extra level of excitement to the NBA landscape.

Despite being projected by some as a late first-round pick, Cam Christie fell to the second round due to inconsistencies during the season and limitations as a playmaker. Nonetheless, with his shooting ability and potential as a perimeter shooter, the Clippers are confident that he has room to develop and grow in the league. Last season for Minnesota Gophers, Cam averaged 11.3 points per game while also contributing 3.5 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game.
