The highly sought-after five-star safety DJ Pickett from Zephyrhills, Florida, is expected to make a decision on his college choice within the next two weeks. Pickett, who is ranked as the No. 1 defensive back in the country by On3 and the No. 6 player nationwide, has LSU, Georgia, Oregon, and Miami as his final four schools.
LSU hosted Pickett for an official visit on May 31 and at one point seemed like they had the momentum in their favor. However, after visiting his other finalists, the race for Pickett is now wide open. There are no crystal ball projections for Pickett’s decision as he is still considering all four schools.
On3 ranks Pickett as the No. 6 player in the nation and the top player in Florida. LSU Tigers Wire will continue to provide updates on Pickett’s decision and other Louisiana State news and opinions.
