Quincy Wilson, a 16-year-old track athlete from Potomac, Maryland, has been selected to be a part of the Team USA relay pool for the upcoming Olympics in Paris. Despite not qualifying for the 400 meters at the recent U.S. Olympic trials in Eugene, Oregon, Wilson will have the opportunity to run in the 4×400 relay.

Wilson’s impressive performance at the trials, where he ran under 45 seconds in multiple 400-meter heats, earned him a spot in the relay pool. His coach, Joe Lee, confirmed to ESPN that Wilson has been selected based on his exceptional performance and record-breaking times.

Wilson will be the youngest American male track athlete at the Olympics. He excitedly shared the news on his Instagram page, declaring, “WE GOING TO THE OLYMPICS.” Wilson is looking forward to representing Team USA on the Olympic stage in Paris and making history as one of the youngest athletes ever to compete at this level.
