Workshop on the Influence of Technology on Child Development and Mental Health to Be Hosted by Leading Experts

Tech and Child Well-Being: A Workshop Exploring the Impacts of Digital Media on Mental Health

On April 4th and 5th, the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) and the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) will host a workshop that focuses on the impact of technology and digital media on the development and mental well-being of children and adolescents. The workshop will take place from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on April 4th at NICHD, and from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on April 5th at NIMH, respectively.

The workshop will bring together experts in technology, child development, and mental health to lead discussions on both the positive and negative effects of technology on young minds. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore current research findings and discuss future directions in this field.

Sponsored by NIMH’s Division of Translational Research and NICHD, this workshop is open to both the scientific community and the general public, with registration required for participation in this free event. Reporting for WGRT is Choze Powell.
