On Tuesday afternoon, a radar-confirmed tornado touched down near Sunbright, causing significant damage to several businesses including Schubert Funeral Home. No reported injuries were sustained, but the owner of the funeral home, Billy Glen Kennedy, was left in shock after receiving a call from a friend informing him that the building was gone.

Kennedy, who has worked at the funeral home for 40 years and owned it for the last 11 years, expressed his gratitude that no one was hurt in the tornado. Despite the damage caused by the storm, he emphasized that material things can be replaced and that the safety of individuals is paramount.
