Vinecki takes first place in aerials World Cup in Lac-Beauport, regains top spot in World Cup standings

Snow Sails and Triumphs: Winter Vinecki’s Win in Aerials on a Rainy Day

On a rainy and cloudy day in Lac-Beauport, Canada, Winter Vinecki earned her third individual win of the season in the aerials event. The U.S. team had a strong showing, with five women and two men advancing to the finals.

Despite missing out on the previous day’s finals, Vinecki qualified in the second position on Sunday and went on to almost lose her balance in the finals. However, her score was enough to put her in sixth place and advance into the super finals. Chris Lillis also fell hard in the finals but managed to avoid injury.

In the final round, Vinecki came out on top by performing a back lay-full-full as the only woman attempting a triple. This led her to her third individual win and fourth overall win of the season, earning her the yellow leader’s bib. The team is now headed to Almaty, Kazakhstan for their final World Cup of the season on March 10 after a rest and training period.
