Eric Gordon signs 1-year contract with Sixers

Sixers Bolster Roster with Eric Gordon and Andre Drummond Signings

The Sixers have added to their roster by signing Eric Gordon to a one-year, minimum-salary deal, a source confirmed Sunday night. This news was first reported by Shams Charania of The Athletic and later confirmed by Kyle Neubeck of PHLY Sports.

Gordon, who is 35 years old, spent his prime years with the Rockets during Daryl Morey’s time as GM. He won the NBA’s Sixth Man of the Year award for the 2016-17 season and averaged 15.7 points over 379 games with Houston.

Known for his high volume three-point shooting and capability as a secondary ball handler, Gordon is a valuable addition to the Sixers’ team. The team, which still has many roster spots to fill, sees Gordon as a valuable addition to the team. Morey, always looking to construct a contender, is keen on surrounding cornerstone big man Joel Embiid with talented players who can shoot from beyond the arc.

In addition to Gordon, the Sixers have also signed Andre Drummond during the opening stages of free agency. The team is looking to bolster its roster and make a strong push for the upcoming season.
