Shop Local: Medinaville’s Small Business Saturday Event

On November 25, the City of Medina will be participating in Small Business Saturday to promote local businesses within the city. This initiative is part of a larger “Shop Small Movement” founded by American Express in 2010 to help small businesses draw in more customers and thrive. It takes place every year on the Saturday after Thanksgiving and Black Friday at the height of the holiday shopping season.

Medina will celebrate on the 25th from 11 am to 3 pm. A table will be set up in the Huntington Bank lobby located at 39 Public Square with “Shop Small” handouts and info about Medina’s small business community. Santa will also be visiting Wichert Insurance, 119 N. Court St., from noon to 2 pm to spread some holiday cheer.

In a recent press release, it was shared that Medina has a thriving small business community with over 90% of its store fronts being filled with local, independent retail shops, boutiques, restaurants, and pubs offering a wide range of services. For more information about Medina’s small business community or for a full list of local businesses, visit .
