On Thursday night, the Saints made an announcement that they have secured contracts with five more of their draft picks. The team signed Spencer Rattler, a fifth-round quarterback, Bub Means, a fifth-round receiver, Jaylan Ford, a fifth-round linebacker, Khristian Boyd, a sixth-round defensive tackle, and Josiah Ezirim, a seventh-round offensive tackle. This leaves only second-round cornerback Kool-Aid McKinstry as the sole unsigned draft pick.
Spencer Rattler was selected 150th overall in the draft and has played three seasons at Oklahoma and two seasons at South Carolina. Throughout his career, he has completed 68.5 percent of his passes for 10,807 yards with 77 touchdowns and 32 interceptions while also rushing for 16 scores. He will now be part of a quarterbacks room that includes Derek Carr and Jake Haener.
