Former Russian President Believes US Won Cold War but is Now Losing It

Russian Ex-President Dmitry Medvedev: US is ‘Just One Step’ Away from Cold War Loss and Nuclear Attacks in Europe.

In a recent statement at the 12th International Legal Forum in St Petersburg, former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev claimed that the US mistakenly believes it has won the Cold War and is now just one step away from losing it completely. Medvedev, who is now the deputy chair of Russia’s Security Council, believes that the US’s perception of its victory in the Cold War is a serious misconception and that it did not actually win.

Since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, Medvedev has taken a more anti-West stance. His statements and threats against Western countries have become more bombastic in an effort to align himself with President Vladimir Putin. In particular, Medvedev has threatened nuclear attacks on Western capitals if NATO were to send troops to support Ukraine and has suggested firing a hypersonic missile at The Hague after an arrest warrant was issued for Putin by the International Criminal Court.

Furthermore, Medvedev has made other outlandish predictions, such as a war between France and Germany and the suggestion that Elon Musk could one day become US president. These statements have garnered attention and criticism from Western countries and leaders. Despite this, Medvedev’s representatives have not responded to requests for comments on these matters.
