Quonset Business Park Exceeds 14,000 Job Milestone

Rhode Island’s Quonset Business Park Surpasses Milestone, Adding 1,000 Jobs

Rhode Island’s Quonset Business Park has surpassed a significant milestone by reaching 14,000 jobs, exceeding its goal of 13,000 jobs that was set just 15 months ago. Governor Dan McKee praised the park as a vital driver of economic activity and job growth in the state, attributing its success to strategic investments that attract new companies and provide employment opportunities for local residents.

The Port of Davisville is credited with the growth in job numbers at Quonset Business Park. Upgrades and expansion plans are expected to create hundreds of new jobs in Rhode Island and Connecticut, further boosting economic growth in the region. The wind farm cable project will also contribute to the expansion efforts at the port.

House Speaker K. Joseph Shekarchi commended Quonset Business Park for achieving its milestone of 14,000 jobs, describing it as a vibrant economic center. Senate President Dominick Ruggerio also expressed support for the park’s rapid expansion and highlighted its reputation as one of the top business parks in the nation.
