REWE Group Renews Contract of Digital and Technology Director Christoph Eltze: Key Driving Force in Company’s Digital Transformation

REWE Group, a German retailer, has recently announced the extension of Christoph Eltze’s contract as its digital and technology director until 2029. Eltze joined the management board of REWE Group in July 2022 and has been leading the company’s digitalization and technology initiatives. Before this role, he served as the divisional director for retail in Germany, where he managed digital, customer, analytics, and IT functions.

Lionel Souque, CEO of REWE Group, praised Eltze’s contribution to the company’s business models. Souque highlighted how Eltze has driven forward the digital and technology division, which is crucial for the company’s success. Erich Stockhausen, chair of REWE Group’s supervisory board, emphasized the rapid development that the company has undergone in recent years. Stockhausen noted that extending Eltze’s contract was a crucial step towards ensuring continuity within the executive board team while maintaining focus on cooperative thinking among team members.
