The SMPTE Media Technology Summit 2024 is set to be the biggest and best yet, with global industry leaders sharing their latest research findings and professionals able to network and learn. This year’s Summit will be held from October 21-24 at the Ovation Hollywood in Hollywood, California.
Marc Zorn, SMPTE Hollywood Chair and Conference Co-Chair, stated that attendees can expect to hear from key filmmakers on the roles of technologies and SMPTE in their process during speaker sessions. In addition, there will be peer-reviewed technical sessions, invited presentations, panels, and the Solutions Hub at the conference.
One of the new features this year is the Tech Trek, which offers guided, interactive exhibit tours showcasing technology discussed during the sessions. These tours provide participants with firsthand experience of the technology and access to its creators. Off-site experiences on October 24 are also available for those interested in further exploring the media technology industry.
Zandra Clarke, SMPTE Director of Membership and MTS Co-Chair, stated that this year’s Media Technology Summit has something for everyone. Whether attendees are looking to learn, network or further their careers, they will find it all at this conference. Clarke encouraged participants to take advantage of the tools provided by SMPTE to succeed in the industry. Early bird pricing for the conference is available from June 10 to July 31.
