RMSC Hosts Summer Science Festival and Upcoming Messtival
On Sunday, RMSC hosted the Summer Science Festival where guests had the opportunity to learn about science through hands-on activities. The museum staff believes that hands-on play is a crucial aspect of the learning experience, making it more engaging and interactive for visitors. Laura Mancuso, the public programs coordinator at RMSC, emphasized the importance of fun and interactive learning experiences. She mentioned that learning doesn’t have to be boring and traditional, and that hands-on activities can make a huge difference in how kids absorb knowledge.
The upcoming event at RMSC is the Messtival, which focuses on messy science and is set to begin on Friday, July 26. Visitors will have the chance to participate in activities such as making slime and building towers out of marshmallows. The event aims to showcase that science can be fun and engaging for people of all ages.
