In just nine days, USC football has lost three key recruits, including highly ranked safety Hylton Stubbs. As a top program, it’s not entirely unexpected for USC to see players with strong offer lists in demand. However, the trend of de-commitments is certainly concerning.
Despite these setbacks, USC currently has the No. 31 recruiting class in the nation. Their top commit, Julian Lewis, a five-star recruit and the No. 16 player in the nation, has generated interest from other top programs. Recruiting analyst Steve Wiltfong believes Lewis is likely to stick with his commitment to USC.
While losing some players is inevitable, USC under head coach Lincoln Riley is expected to win many of these battles in the future. With their high level of recruiting and Riley’s guidance, USC remains optimistic about their recruiting future.
