Publix has recently launched a virtual health care service in collaboration with WellSync, which allows customers to receive medical care from licensed providers without the need for an appointment. By completing an online health questionnaire, individuals aged 18 and older can seek treatment for common health conditions such as allergies, sinus infections, and hair loss, as well as request refills for certain medications. The fee for each consultation is $25, and insurance is not necessary to use the service.
Providers are available to respond to submissions within an hour during their hours of operation from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Eastern time, Monday through Friday, and 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Eastern time on weekends. Response times may vary outside of these hours and on holidays. If prescriptions are prescribed, customers can conveniently fill them at their local Publix Pharmacy.
Publix Pharmacy offers more than just traditional retail pharmacy services with over 1,300 locations across its eight-state operating area. The company also operates a dual-accredited specialty pharmacy that dispenses and provides support for complex medications used to treat rare diseases. This new virtual health care service enhances the range of health care options available to Publix customers, providing easy access to medical care from the convenience of their own homes.
