Prep sports activities pocket book: Spring postseason tourney areas launched

The IHSAA has decided spring sports activities sectional, regional and semistate areas for this upcoming season.

In Class 4A baseball, Columbus East and Columbus North will journey to East Central for his or her sectional. In softball, East and North received’t should journey far, because the Bull Canine would be the host this yr at Southside Elementary.

In Class 2A baseball, Hauser will journey to Austin, and in softball, Hauser travels to Brownstown Central for the sectional.

Within the one-game softball regional, the winner of the North Sectional shall be on the highway, and the winner of the Brownstown Central Sectional shall be a number. The 4A south semistate location shall be at Heart Grove, and the 2A south semistate location shall be at Forest Park.

The websites for the baseball regional and semistate areas shall be determined at a later date.

Bull Canine chosen All-Convention Indiana

Convention Indiana launched its all-conference awards for ladies and boys basketball.

For the women, Columbus North seniors Lauren Barker and Emma Lengthy and junior Kathryn Wilson have been named to the primary workforce, and sophomore Hadassah Damage was honorable point out.

Panthers’ Kent named IBCA Participant of Week

Jennings County sophomore Carter Kent has been named the IBCA District 3 Boys Participant of the Week.

Kent led the Panthers with 22 factors in a 51-39 win towards New Albany within the Seymour Sectional ultimate and with 16 factors in Saturday’s 64-40 win towards Evansville Reitz within the Seymour Regional.
