Pope Francis Encourages Faithful to Pray Rosary for World Peace and Supplication for Special Intentions on Feast of Our Lady of Pompeii

During his General Audience in the Vatican, Pope Francis called upon the faithful to pray the Rosary and entrusted conflicts in the Holy Land, Ukraine, and Myanmar to Mary’s intercession. He emphasized the importance of rediscovering the value of praying the Rosary on Feast of Our Lady of Pompeii, which is celebrated on May 8th. The Church raises prayers of supplication to Our Lady of the Rosary of Pompeii on this day.

Pope Francis invited everyone to invoke Mary’s intercession for peace in various parts of the world, particularly in Ukraine, Palestine, Israel and Myanmar. He also asked for special prayers for young people, sick individuals, elderly people and newlyweds present at the audience before giving his Apostolic Blessing. Before he concluded his speech, Pope Francis urged everyone to pray the Rosary throughout the month of May.
