Police Crackdown on Slovenian Pedophiles: Abusive Videos Purchased on the Dark Web

In a joint international operation, Croatian authorities arrested one suspect and rescued a child from the clutches of Croatian pedophiles. The operation, known as “Mosaic,” targeted individuals who accessed the dark web to obtain pornographic material depicting the sexual abuse of minors. Over 50 digital devices were seized from eight suspects during the investigation, which aims to determine the extent of crimes committed and how they obtained the photos. While little information has been disclosed by Croatian police, their counterparts in Slovenia have revealed more details about their own operations involving eight citizens arrested on suspicion of sexually abusing children and minors over the internet. The suspects are believed to have accessed dark web links and used cryptocurrency to conceal their actions and identities. The main suspects in both countries are being investigated for multiple offenses related to exposure, production, possession, and forwarding of pornographic material depicting sexual abuse of minors.
