Police Arrest Four Suspects for Trespassing on Rishi Sunak’s Northern England Property Amid Election Campaign

On Tuesday, four individuals were arrested by British police for trespassing on Prime Minister Rishi Sunak’s property in northern England. According to a statement released by police, the arrests occurred amidst a general election campaign where Sunak is facing stiff competition from the centre-left Labour Party, which is currently leading in the polls.

North Yorkshire Police confirmed that four suspects, ranging in age from 20 to 52 and from various parts of the country, were detained for questioning after being found on the Prime Minister’s constituency home grounds. The suspects were apprehended within a minute of entering the property and investigations are ongoing.

A video posted on social media by a group called Youth Demand showed one individual entering the property and defecating into what was claimed to be a lake on Sunak’s estate. The group cited various grievances against the Conservative Party, including environmental issues and public service cuts. This incident is not the first time that Sunak’s property has been targeted, as last summer Greenpeace activists covered the residence in oil-black sheets to protest the government’s decision to grant new oil and gas licenses. Police are continuing their investigations into this latest incident at the Prime Minister’s residence.
