NFL Continues to Support Elon Musk’s X Platform

The NFL has decided to continue advertising on social media platform X, despite recent difficulties and concerns over content moderation. NFL Chief Media and Business Officer Brian Rolapp stated that the league will continue to advertise on the platform because its fans are present there.

A recent instance of the platform allowing a harmful anti-Semitic message has raised concerns about its content moderation practices. The platform has been criticized for allowing viewpoints that are considered harmful under the guise of free speech, which has sparked widespread debate surrounding reasonable limits on content that can be posted.

Advertisers and potential impacts on the user base are also being considered by the NFL as it contemplates whether to financially support X and indirectly endorse its approach by purchasing ads there. So far, however, the NFL has remained firm in its support of the platform.
