Newcastle United Signs Chelsea Academy Player of the Year, Lewis Hall, for £28m

Newcastle United has officially signed Chelsea Academy Player of the Year, Lewis Hall, for a fee of £28m. The 19-year-old left-back made the switch from Stamford Bridge to Sunderland after a successful season with the Magpies on loan.

Hall expressed his excitement about the move, stating, “I am extremely proud to be able to continue my journey at Newcastle United. When you pull on the black and white shirt, there is no feeling like it and playing in front of the best supporters in the country is extra special for me.”

Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe praised Hall’s talent and attitude towards the game, expressing his excitement for the young player’s future in a Newcastle United shirt. Hall made his first-team debut at Chelsea in January 2022 against Chesterfield.
