In the fall, the University of North Florida will launch a new doctorate program specifically designed for advanced health care leaders. Known as the Doctor of Health Administration Program, this applied doctorate program will equip students with the skills necessary to tackle complex issues in the health care sector. The program focuses on global health leadership and advanced management of health care facilities and institutions, utilizing evidence from clinical, organizational, and policy areas to find solutions to challenging problems in the field of health care.
Mei Zhao, interim dean of UNF’s Brooks College of Health, is enthusiastic about the program’s innovative approach to addressing the evolving landscape of health care. The program aims to empower future leaders by providing them with the knowledge and skills necessary to drive transformative change in health care delivery and enhance its quality. Students enrolled in the program will have access to internationally recognized faculty and opportunities to network with local health care executives.
The curriculum consists of 48 credit hours and follows a hybrid format, with 80% of coursework being conducted online and 20% taking place during on-campus executive seminars on weekends. For more information about the program and details on how to apply, visit the DHA website.
