Burton secure signing of striker Orsi from Crawley

New Signing Danilo Orsi Set to Make a Splash in League One as Burton Albion Avoids Relegation

In the summer of 2021, Danilo Orsi signed a three-year contract with Burton Albion after scoring 25 goals in 50 appearances for Crawley Town, helping the club secure promotion to League One. The 28-year-old striker played a crucial role in Crawley’s play-off final win against Crewe Alexandra at Wembley.

Meanwhile, Burton avoided relegation from League One and have appointed Mark Robinson as their new head coach, replacing Martin Paterson. They are set to face Lincoln City at the Pirelli Stadium on the opening day of the season. On the other hand, Crawley will be playing their first match in League One since 2015 at home against Blackpool.

In an interview with Burton’s website, Orsi expressed his passion for scoring goals and working hard for the team. Throughout his career, he has played non-league football at clubs like Hungerford Town, Hampton & Richmond Borough, and Maidenhead United before making the move to Harrogate Town in 2021. Following a short loan spell at Boreham Wood and a season at Grimsby Town, he joined Crawley last summer.
