New Semester, New Opportunities: Helsinki Stock Exchange Starts on a Positive Note

The first day of July marked the beginning of a new semester, filled with hope for a better future. The week started with a 1.4 percent rise in the general index of the Helsinki Stock Exchange, closing at 10,076.34 points. The most traded stock of the day was Nordea, with almost 70 million shares changing hands. The company’s share increased by approximately 2.7 percent.

Cargotec underwent a division, with Kalmar becoming its own publicly listed company. Analysts estimated that Kalmar represented slightly over 40 percent of the total value. Cargotec’s share price closed at around EUR 47.2, while Kalmar closed at approximately EUR 26.4. Kepler Cheuvreux updated Cargotec’s target price in response to the split.
