New Resident Evil, Kunitsu-Gami Demo and Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster Announced by Capcom

Capcom has recently announced the creation of a new installment in the popular video game series Resident Evil. The new game, directed by Koshi Nakanishi, is set to follow up on the previous game, Resident Evil 7: Biohazard. Nakanishi expressed that developing the follow-up was challenging, but they now have “something substantial” in progress. Details about the upcoming game are sparse, but it is potentially titled Resident Evil 9.

In addition to the new Resident Evil game, Capcom unveiled news about Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess and Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster. Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess is an action-strategy game centered on Japanese mythology. Players will assume the role of Son, a warrior tasked with protecting Yoshiro, a priestess. A demo of the game is available for players to try out on various platforms ahead of its official release on July 19. Platforms where the demo is accessible include PS4, PS5, Xbox Series, and Xbox One.

Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster was also revealed as a digital release scheduled to launch on September 19. The game features improved graphics and three-dimensional (3D) audio. Players will take on the role of photojournalist Frank West who must battle zombies in a shopping center. The game will support multiple languages for text and voice input.
