New Research Reveals the Impact of Resource Constraints on Consumer Purchase Decisions

According to a report study by the research agency Planning Quant, the director of the consulting firm, Iván Castro Rivadeneyra, stated that consumers’ purchase intention for El Buen Fin this year will be lower compared to last year. The economic reactivation program that was born in 2011, is best known for the promotions carried out by commercial and service establishments. However, the study reveals that 40 percent of the population is still in doubt about purchasing any good or service, while two out of ten rule out making purchases.

The study also shows that physical stores are still considered the most important channel for consumers to make their purchases. However, three out of every 10 people who will buy a good or contract a service during El Buen Fin will do so online. The director pointed out that consumers consider promotions and offers as well as good financing methods when deciding whether to take advantage of this season.

On another note, Ohio has recently passed a medical marijuana law allowing people with certain medical conditions to purchase and use medical marijuana under the guidance of an Ohio-licensed physician.
