Beginning on July 1, the Broken Arrow Police and Fire Departments will be teaming up with Family & Children’s Services and Grand Mental Health to enhance their first responders team. This partnership will allow for more effective and efficient responses to mental health crises in the area.
Family & Children’s Services will be working closely with the Broken Arrow Fire Department, while Grand Mental Health care coordinators will be collaborating with the Broken Arrow Police Department. By bringing together these organizations, Broken Arrow is taking important steps towards improving the well-being of its residents.
In addition to these exciting developments, the City of Broken Arrow has also secured funding from the Oklahoma Opioid Abatement Board. This funding will support the integration of mental health services into the first responders teams, further enhancing their ability to provide critical support to those in need. By prioritizing mental health in emergency response efforts, Broken Arrow is taking important steps towards improving the overall health and well-being of its community.
