Jordan Hartshorn, the franchisee for McDonald’s in Sioux Falls, is excited to announce that construction will begin on the first McDonald’s located west of Interstate 29 on April 25, 2024. The new restaurant will be situated on the northeast corner of 41st Street and Ellis Road.
The design of the new McDonald’s will resemble the one on East 26th Street and will feature a double-lane drive-thru and a slightly smaller dining area. The focus will be on digital orders, curbside delivery, with six to nine curbside pickup stalls and three to four courier pickup stalls. Hartshorn emphasized the importance of catering to the digital customer and designing a store from the ground up to meet their needs.
The new location is expected to hire a crew of 60 to 70 people, including management positions. With many employees residing in the area, some team members will transfer to the new store, creating growth opportunities within the organization. The plan is to open the new McDonald’s later in the summer to meet the needs of the community.
Hartshorn also mentioned that McDonald’s has been successful in filling roles in other locations in Sioux Falls, with staffing numbers increasing, low turnover rates, and high applicant flow. Job positions for the new restaurant are beginning to be posted for those interested in joining the team. More information can be found by clicking here.
